2 Months till Paydirt  ODDS

Denver, Co -  It's just 2 months till Sandy and Larry unleash their new addition to the world, and stakes are high.  Whereas Sandy claims their new daughter will bring joy the world, Larry is insistent upon turning a son into the world's new dictator, the likes of which will make Kim Jong Il seem a pussy cat in comparison, upon an unsuspecting public.

"I will teach him how to consolidate power in the classroom and pick on those different than him, "  the father to be said in a rare self interview recently.  "And given the fact he'll be a German/korean mix, well that's going to just about include everyone now isn't it?"

"I hope to have him up and working within 2 weeks,"  he continued describing his project, "I need some help with the laundry and yard work, as well as data entry and baseball stat analysis (specifically Albert Pujols greatness), and his talents couldn't come at a better time."

Sandy hopes to have a SandyP Jr, but odds are not in her favor.  She seems more keen to raising a child in the traditional sense, where Larry is focused on an iron fist and work camp atmosphere in the lines of Andrew Voss' fantasy work camp he has on the upper west side of Denver.

It's not too late to get your wager in on the outcome of the baby.  From weight to color of hair, you can make your fortune on many of the attributes.  Check out Baby Central for more info

Star of Road House passes

With the passing of Patrick Swayze, it is hard to fathom what the world will do to move on.   You will hear the heated debate through the press the next few weeks about what his best movie was?  You may hear everyone reference Dirty Dancing and Ghost, certainly his “pop” performances, and Red Dawn is even a great acting performance.  But of course, it only comes down to two that he made which showed his diverse range and talent at picking great scripts.

Road House vs Point Break

I will grant that Point Break had a better supporting cast, including Keanu Reeves as Johnny Utah and Gary Busey, who brings greatness to any film;  as well as one of the best lines uttered in Mr. Swayze’s career, and one upon which I still adhere to today  “bro’s before ho’s”.

In Road House, though, Mr. Swayze gives a range of performance which brings what would normally be a terrible movie into one of the greatest of all time.

In Road House, we were taken to the underground, previously unknown world of bar bouncers.  I didn’t know before this movie that Bouncers could develop a celebrity like reputation amongst bar employees around hick redneck bars.  Not to mention the physical and psychological hurdles that a 5'8, 150 lb bouncer must overcome just hardly make sense as a long term occupation choice. I just thought the employees would cycle through and move on to another disposable job.

Man, was I wrong.  Dalton, played by Mr. Swayze and sporting a sweet mullet while having his coffee leaded not unleaded, certainly developed a reputation as one of the best bouncers in a land where multiple fights happen at every bar each night.  Why people still go out?  I don’t know?

“No one ever wins a fight” Dalton succinctly said in response to the hot blonds’ question “do you ever win a fight” in Road House.  Yes, it’s this approach that endears you to the philosophical bouncer who’s bent on cleaning up the act of a corrupted Brad Wesley in a small Missouri town.

I have learned the lessons between right and wrong through the values taught to me in Road House, and his powerful performance remains an inspiration to younger actors that they too can do terrible films without repercussions.

It’s a sad day to see the star of Road House pass and move on, but with the advent of video and digital, my grandchildren will be able to watch it with me in the future.
